The Education collection consists of materials supporting teaching, including school textbooks, teacher’s manuals teaching methods, and curriculum studies for pre-school to secondary school. Books on education theory, past examination papers, and assessment tests are housed in the Main Library.

Electronic resources in all aspects of Education and various subject areas are accessible online anytime, anywhere.

These cover areas such as early childhood, elementary, secondary, higher, continuing, comparative, international, and special education, as well as philosophy of education, IT in education, STEM education, educational psychology, curriculum & instruction, educational testing & measurement, and educational policy & administration.  All are available via the Libraries homepage under Electronic Resources or Find@HKUL.

The collection are shelved on 4/F Old Wing of the Main Library. It comprises of past examination papers and syllabuses of Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE)*, Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE), Hong Kong Higher Level Examination (HKHLE),  Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (LPAT), as well as overseas public examination resources such as General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), and International Baccalaureate (IB) programme.

* The latest three years of the HKDSE papers are for use within the library only, papers older than three years can be checked-out for 1 day.

The collection contains Education Faculty publications including books, articles, research papers, and theses. These are accessible online through the HKU Scholars Hub.

All education journals are shelved on 4/F of the Main Library.

The Education Library has a substantial collection of educational multimedia materials including Blu-ray discs, CD-ROMs, CDs, DVDs, and other non-print materials. These materials are available for loan or for viewing on 4/F Old Wing of the Main Library.

The collection consists of course-related textbooks, journal articles, lecture notes, and readings recommended by academic staff. These materials are for short loan. Teaching staff may request online for materials to be placed on reserve. [Placing Course Reserve] All education reserve materials are housed on the Self-Service Collection of 2/F Main Library.
