Books
The Library contains mainly teaching support materials, including school textbooks, teacher handbooks, supplementary exercises, assessment tests, tutorial guides, practice books and mock test papers for 5-13+ years. Books on education theory are housed in the Main Library.
Electronic Resources
Electronic resources on education and various subject areas are accessible online anytime anywhere. These include bibliographic and full-text databases, e-theses, e-books and e-journals, and are available via the Libraries Homepage under Electronic Resources.
Examination Papers and Syllabuses
The collection comprises of Hong Kong Certificate of Education HKCEE/Hong Kong Advanced Level HKAL examination papers and syllabuses, Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers LPAT, Test of Proficiency in Putonghua TPP, as well as overseas public examination resources, including General Certificate of Secondary Education GCSE, International General Certificate of Secondary Education IGCSE and International Baccalaureate IB programme, etc.
Faculty publications collection
The collection contains Education Faculty Publications including books, articles, research papers and theses. These are accessible online through the HKU Scholars Hub.
Journals
All education journals are shelved on the 2nd floor of the Main Library.
Media Resources
The Library has a substantial collection of audio-visual materials on a wide range of education topics, including CD-ROMs, CDs, DVDs, VCDs, games, multimedia packages and other non-print materials. The materials are available for loan or for viewing in the Library.
Reserve Collection
The collection consists of course-related textbooks, journal articles, lecture notes and readings recommended by academic staff. These materials are for short loan or in-house use.
