What is Article Finder?

Article Finder is a tool that allows you to query our WebBridge linking system to find if the full text of a journal article is available.

Article Finder saves you time - you no longer need to maneuver through Dragon to get to the article you want. Fill in a simple form and Article Finder will do the work for you.

How do I use Article Finder?

Using Article Finder when doing research is easy. Simply enter as much information about the article as possible and click on the Search button.

A menu of options will open in a new browser window, including:

  • Link to the full text of the article
  • Search Dragon, the library catalog, for this item
  • Email your questions or comments to a librarian
  • Link to the WebBridge Q&A

Note that the options presented will vary depending on the information you have entered.

How does Article Finder work?

Article Finder is a OpenURL generator. That means when you click on the Search button, the information you have entered about the article, such as the journal name, volume, issue and page, is converted into the OpenURL format, and then transmitted to the library's WebBridge server. The server then analyses the information, determines if and where the full text is available, and dynamically creates the menu options.
